Dykes On Bikes Sydney are proud to present our annual show. This year The Oxford Hotel is hosting an afternoon of not too serious motorbike & tattoo competition amongs others. There are heaps of prizes, great entertainment & some surprise performers & judges.
Bike categories include: cruiser, tourer, rat bike, sports, naked, vintage, up to 250cc/scooter, people's choice. Please have bikes in at 1pm
Tattoo Categories: arm, leg back, front, best tattoo story, best modification, people's choice.
Cost: gold coins donation, with proceeds going to our club's elected charities.

Tues 7.30 to 8.30 pm all levels, including beginners. Intermediate students may stay back until 9,00.
Fees for the 1 hour class are $120/$102 concession for eight weeks . Intermediate students check with trainer for when do extra times.

REAL: FW: New Lemon Zest group - Car Lemons! (31 January)
New Lemon Zest group – The Car Lemons!!!
A group of women who enjoy going for a drive, exploring different areas, and having fun whilst doing it!
Our inaugural outing will take us to Mount Tomah Botanical Gardens on Sunday 31 January 2010, at 11.30am.
We will meet at Blackheath train station and can carpool from there.
We will have a picnic at the gardens, so bring food and drink!

Please send the following to your networks if you know if anyone that indicated that they want to be involved in the Illawarra Rising Mardi Gras Float.
The deadline for Sign-ups is NEXT TUESDAY 19th January. If you want to be in the float you must attend this meeting or notify myself or Steen to let us know that you are not attending.
Sorry to be abrupt, but it's decision making time. If you can't attend the meeting or have the organisation to RSVP, then you might as well just go and watch the parade because you're obviously not that interested in taking part.

This year the GLBTI Community of the Illawarra will be marching in the Mardi Gras Parade! YAY!
Rumour has it that there is a FREE after march party at Moore Park or all those partiipating in this years MG Parade. Our theme is Illawarra Rising: A Feast of Fools, so some of our costumes will be wonderfully outrageous.
You will need to register and come along to the next meeting if you are keen to be involved. Hope to see you there.

The Riversdale Festival will bring iconic Australian performers and local community groups together to create a magical environment of interactive performances, workshops and sound-scapes along the banks of the Shoalhaven River, the inspiration for much of Arthur Boyd's work.
Internationally acclaimed artists Stalker Theatre, Erth (pictured), TaikOz Drummers and Circus Monoxide will transform Riversdale into a place of fantasy and discovery with interactive workshops to engage both young and old.

REAL: Gay Camping NSW, Fri 22- Tue 26 Jan, west of Nowra

Australia Day weekend hasn't been busier for Gay Camping NSW with two camps scheduled to cater for the growing number of keen campers willing to enjoy the great outdoors.
The guys putting this trip together have been drawn to Coolendel for it's reasonable proximity to the Pretty Beach camp for a possible day trip and also the challenging fire trails in the area for 4 wheel driving, an activity which has been gaining interest amongst members lately.
COST: $24.00 per person/per night camping fee. (subject to confirmation)
Coolendel is a privately owned & managed bush reserve on the South Coast, west of Nowra. Sadly no Pets are welcome, but neither are motor bikes or generators!
Bush camping here comes with some luxuries other sites don't normally offer - hot showers and flushing toilets! There's the large Shoalhaven river with canoe hire, loads of kangaroos, wombats, possums, goannas and even peacocks.
Onsite is a small shop but make sure you bring everything you need to make your stay a comfortable one.
At this stage the proprietors aren't taking bookings & it will be first in first served with payment on arrival.
ACCESS: Regular passenger vehicles can access the campground although the last 10 km are well maintained dirt road.
TRAVEL: Head south on the Princess Hwy to Nowra. Cross the Shoalhaven River at the Nowra Road Bridge. At the 5th set of traffic lights, turn right into Kalandar Street and continue to the roundabout. Take second turn from the roundabout into Albatross Road, then turn right into Yalwal Road (Yalwal, Burrier, Coolendel turnoff). Stay on this road, following Coolendel signs. The road will turn from bitumen to dirt, but don't give up. Slow down so you don't damage the car and enjoy the scenery. It's about 10km down the dirt road, passing some great views of the Shoalhaven River. See the map link below for campsite marker and travel directions from Sydney CBD.

Aerials will kick off the term on Monday 25th January 7.30-9.30 and
Wednesday 27th January 6.30-9.00pm. Let us know what night your interested in or if there is another time slot that suites you better.

Come and join us and see a bit of the Hawkesbury Area
on our second car rally.
After the rally enjoy a Free Sausage sizzle and a drink
to every participant and weather permitting join in or
just cheer on the pool volley ball ,prizes and a great
time.
All you have to do is bring your car, or bike or any mode
of transport you choose, and a smile.
